			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;color: black;font-family: Verdana">I do believe that Abigail stands as the victim in the story. Abigail was a defenseless young girl being taken advantage of by Proctor. Before she met him she didn&#8217;t know anything about Salem. Referring to the tree of knowledge, she blindly took apart of the &#8220;fruit&#8221; that she was not aware would make her become so open. Abigail didn&#8217;t have a choice but to accept the &#8220;knowledge&#8221; that was being given to her because she had become so vulnerable towards Proctor. Her eyes were being opened to the behaviors going on around her that she didn&#8217;t know before. Abigail had fallen in love with Proctor but he didn&#8217;t want to continue the affair because he had a wife &amp; kids at home. He is in the wrong because he committed a sin. Proctor didn&#8217;t have to come on to Abigail because he knew he was married but Abigail wasn&#8217;t aware of it &amp; when she found out, it had become too late because she didn&#8217;t know she was being taken advantage of.</span></p>
